At some point in his life Ben got engaged with Michelle, but after having an argument she left him. Later, while she was driving through Lousiana, Ben called Michelle, trying to convice her to return, stating that running away is not the answer. Michelle, however, doesn't reply and ends the call. He tries to call her again, but before she could answer, her car is hit and rolls off the road, knocking Michelle unconscious.
